Our mission
MeteoStorms exists to make space weather easy to understand. Geomagnetic storms, the Kp index and solar wind usually live inside technical bulletins — we translate them into plain language, in 28 languages, free for everyone.
We serve two audiences with one product: people who follow space weather and the aurora, and people who are sensitive to the weather and want to understand how it relates to the way they feel.
What we do
Everything on MeteoStorms is built around a few simple goals:
- Show the current conditions — the live Kp index, the NOAA G1–G5 storm level, solar wind and a 7-day geomagnetic forecast.
- Explain what those numbers mean, calmly and without hype, so you can decide for yourself whether to take it easy.
- Offer a private wellbeing journal that lines up how you feel with geomagnetic activity and atmospheric pressure.
- Publish plain-language news and explainers whenever conditions change, in every language we support.
A note on your wellbeing
Many people notice headaches, tiredness, restless sleep or mood changes when the weather or geomagnetic activity shifts. MeteoStorms helps you spot those patterns, but it is not a medical service: our content is informational, describes possible correlations rather than diagnoses, and is never a substitute for advice from a qualified doctor.
Who we are
MeteoStorms is an independent project run by a small editorial team. Our articles are produced from official data and reviewed by a person before they go live. For the full details of how we work — including how and where we use AI — see our editorial and AI-use policy

Where our data comes from
Every figure on MeteoStorms traces back to an official, openly published source. We do not produce space-weather measurements ourselves — we read, translate and explain them.
